James Brookes - Soundscapes Project Manager


Hi my name is James and I am responsible for the loud, sound and running on the ground, Woolavington Soundscapes project, you will have seen from my previous posts we have been, very, very busy exploring the many different ways you can experience music making.....@ its best :-)

The Soundscapes Samba Band Taster Session, this was a great session that produced some great sounds at a great volume! Good times all round :-)

A Count Me In session

Here's Russ and Jane playing music with the crew from Six Acres (Taunton) and St James' resource centre (Yeovil ). Every month we'd turn up and support the staff to Make Time for Music.
This project's finished now, but you follow the story on our blog Making Time for Music.

This is Leah. She's going to help us run Heart Beats. Her job is to make sure everyone is involved in the way they choose.
She will be there to look after you if you need help or support.
Leah works in a Special School in Frome.

Funding for equipment - good news


We can now add this logo to our blog thanks to a kind offer of funding from the Somerset Community Foundation.
They are helping us to purchase some new music equipment especially for Heart Beats. So when you come along we'll have a chat about what instruments you think we should chose.

BREAKING NEWS

Very excited and pleased this afternoon, we've had a very positive response from the Somerset Community Foundation regarding a funding application for some extra equipment ....more news on this to follow .... soon.
